This policy explains what FlightBestie collects when you use our site and emails, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, your name if you give it, and your login (passwords are stored encrypted).
- Preferences: your home airport, dream destination and email settings.
- Billing: payments are handled by our payment processor. We don't see or store your full card number; we keep your membership status and billing history.
- Anything you send us, such as emails or travel tips.
- Basic technical data our hosting providers log automatically, such as IP address and browser type.
We use only the cookies needed to keep you logged in. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To run your membership and send you flight deals and account and billing emails.
- To improve the service, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep it secure.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run FlightBestie, such as our hosting, database, payment and email providers, and only so they can do that work. We may also disclose it if the law requires, to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open and afterwards for as long as we need it for legal, tax, accounting or security reasons.
Your choices
- Turn off deal emails any time with the unsubscribe link in every email or from your account page.
- Email hello@flightbestie.com to ask for a copy of your information or to correct or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law; contact us to use them.
Where it's stored
FlightBestie is run from the United States and your information is processed there. By using the service you understand it may be stored outside your country.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no service can guarantee complete security.
Children
FlightBestie is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. If a change is significant, we'll let you know by email or on the site.
